Mapping the Dead Zones: River Tracings

Description: Embroidered with over 400 tiny river stones, roots and dyed wool-covered string, this triptych of shibori dyed fabric speaks to illegal water diversions from the Navarro River and its tributaries, effectively killing this once wild waterway.

Material: Natural indigo dye, repurposed fabric, 400 tiny river stones and roots, thread, felt, and wood.
